They also joined the Debrecen Charity Board’s fundraising campaign this year.

“The Fidesz-KDNP in Debrecen joined the Advent fundraising campaign organised by the Debrecen Charity Board this year,” they reported in a statement. Following the general assembly meeting on Thursday, the representatives jointly handed over the packages containing non-perishable food.

Deputy leader Edina Szilágyi highlighted in connection with the handing over of the packages that the Fidesz-KDNP faction, as a cohesive community, considers it important to help and support the people of Debrecen in need, especially during the Advent period, as Christmas approaches.

“Since the Debrecen Charity Board has launched this charity campaign, the Fidesz-KDNP faction has provided the board with non-perishable food packages yearly,” Edina Szilágyi pointed out.

President of the Debrecen Charity Board, Edit Bódor, said she was grateful for their donation of HUF 500,000. She added that the packages contained non-perishable food, which can significantly help 25 families during the holidays.
