International School of Debrecen (ISD)

The International School of Debrecen (ISD) has been providing quality education at all levels, from kindergarten to secondary school, since September 2019. The school provides international-level education for both international and Hungarian students in a modern and professional environment in Debrecen-Pallag, aiming to equip them with essential skills and knowledge that give them a foundation for a successful future in higher education and beyond.

Students from early childhood to young adulthood (3-18 years) are provided with the opportunity to learn from a broad and balanced curriculum. The school offers three different programmes based on the student’s age group, including Early ChildhoodElementary School and Upper School. Each programme addresses different aspects and stages of the child’s emotional, physical and intellectual development.

Besides the educational programmes, students also have the opportunity to be involved in individual lessons and a wide range of extracurricular activities, such as tennis lessons, creative writing sessions, or a drama club. The school’s primary aim is to raise future adults who are not only emotionally intelligent and internationally minded, but are also critical and creative.

The school’s language of instruction is English and students of different nationalities benefit from English as an Additional Language (EAL) programme.

By completing the upper school programme, students obtain an internationally recognized secondary school diploma.

The school organises open days throughout the year which makes it possible for parents and future students to visit the school and its surroundings, and to learn more about the curriculum and the school’s philosophy.
