Dr. Zoltán Simon is a highly qualified English–Hungarian translator and interpreter based in Debrecen, Hungary, with over 25 years of experience.

He holds a Ph.D. in English from Texas Christian University (2001), as well as master’s degrees in both English and Library & Information Science. After completing his doctoral studies, he spent four years living in the United States before returning to Hungary to teach at the University of Debrecen. In 2010, he broadened his academic perspective by serving as a Fulbright Visiting Scholar at Michigan State University.

Since departing from academia in 2014, Dr. Simon has established himself as a freelance translator, specializing in legal and business translation. His roster of long‑term clients includes law firms throughout Hungary, a global audit firm, the mayor’s office of Hungary’s second‑largest city, the University of Debrecen, and various translation agencies and international organizations.
