Successful economic development processes also generate opportunities in other areas in the city.
Mayorof Debrecen László Papp spoke about real estate development for residential purposes at the Housing Developers’ Roundtable. The event was jointly organised by the city and EDC Debrecen for company managers.
The meeting was attended by almost sixty businessmen, including representatives of BMW, CATL and SemCorp, as well as managers of real estate development companies.
In his welcome speech, László Papp called the event extremely important and decisive for the future of the city. The mayor underlined that investments worth EUR 11 billion have arrived in Debrecen in 8 years, which has created and will create 16,000 new jobs in the following years.
He also spoke about the fact that successful economic development generates opportunities in other areas as well, citing housing developments as an example. These local opportunities were reviewed by the participants of the event.
László Papp added that the development of thousands of new apartments could start in Debrecen in the coming years.
