Volkmar Klein emphasised the friendly relations between Germany and Hungary and thanked the Hungarians for their tireless hospitality.

“A city can only succeed in attracting more and more new German and international companies in global competition if the location is attractive to companies and workers,” Volkmar Klein stated.

The meeting discussed the possibilities of cooperation in the field of e-mobility between Volkmar Klein’s home region and the city.

During the visit, Volkmar Klein also met the president of the German Cultural Forum in Debrecen  Andrea Horváth, students from the University of Debrecen and representatives of the Debrecen Reformed College. He also visited the BMW construction site and the Hungarian-Ukrainian border.
