More than 100 years old, the Apollo Cinema is a state-of-the-art venue that brings film culture closer to the audience through the latest films, classic movies, art films, Hungarian and foreign language screenings, premieres, film festivals, audience meetings and other accompanying events, all under the aegis of entertainment and education. Debrecen’s art cinema appeals to both older and younger audiences, art and action film lovers, native Hungarian speakers, and foreign audiences alike. The Apollo Cinema regularly organises charity screenings for children in foster care, large families, and children with disabilities.
