On the occasion of the 103rd anniversary of the Treaty of Trianon, the Municipality of Debrecen will organise a commemoration on 4th June 2023.
9:00 a.m.: Kossuth Square – Raising and lowering of the flag of Hungary
4:30 p.m.: Dósa nádor Square – “The Hungarian Nation is Fleeing to the Heart” – a performance by the Debrecen Folk Ensemble, the Transcarpathian folk dance group Eszenyi Ritmus and the Törköly Orchestra
5:00 p.m.: Walk from Dósa Nádor Square to Bem Square accompanied by the Törköly Orchestra
5:30 p.m.: Bem Square – Raising of the National Flag
Commemoration and wreath-laying ceremony in front of Émile Guillaume’s statue of Hungarian Pain
Speech: László Papp, Mayor of Debrecen
“The bottom of the sky is splitting” – a performance by the Csokonai Theatre – Jászai Mari Prize-winning actor Kinga Újhelyi and actor István Papp -, the Debrecen Folk Ensemble, the Transcarpathian folk dance group Eszenyi Ritmus and the Törköly Orchestra.
7:00 p.m. hours: Déri Museum, Ornament Hall – Nelli Szűcs’ performance from the writings of Sári Fedák
