The exhibition of graphic artist Sándor Gárdonyi is on show at the Gallery of the Csokonai Vitéz Mihály High School.
The artist is mainly engaged in the production of reproduced and unique graphic sheets. He is a member of the National Association of Hungarian Graphic Artists, the Ajtósi Dürer Association of Graphic Artists and the Debrecen Association of Fine Artists.
“I formulate my visual message through the expressive power of the stain, the line and the structure of the drawing. In my paintings, I strive to create a balance between realistic representation and abstract expression. I try to explore the interoperability between graphic genres in other experimental works. I have an affinity with mediaeval culture and am particularly influenced by Romanesque and Gothic Revival styles. These stylistic features are evident in my drawings. My works deal with literary, historical and philosophical themes,” Sándor Gárdonyi stressed.
The exhibition “Faces and Memories” can be seen until the end of June, during the opening hours of the high school (12 Békessy Béla Street).
