On the night of the 18th of August, a free tram service will run on the tram line No. 1. On the 19th and 20th of August, there will be three free tram services.

From Monday, 14th of August, DKV Zrt. started to carry out tramway maintenance work on the section between Nagystation and Eötvös Street for three weeks. The works are carried out in three locations, Nagystation, Kálvin Square and Eötvös Street, on working days, during the night.

The work at the Nagystation has started and it will continue from the 22nd onwards at Kálvin Square and finally at Eötvös Street. The works may cause a little noise.

The renovation works will not affect tram services, but due to the events of the Debrecen Flower Carnival, trams 1 and 2 will be running differently between the 15th and 19th of August.

During the evening concerts, trams will run in two sections between 8:00 p.m. and 11:00 p.m. between Nagystation – Városháza – Nagystation and Kálvin tér – Egyetem/Doberdó Street – Kálvin tér. During these periods there is no tram service between Városháza and Kálvin tér.

Trams will not run from the morning of 20th of August. Tram 2 is expected to start operating from noon and tram 1 from 2:00 p.m., with bus services replacing the trams. From 8:00 p.m. in the evening, there will be no tram service due to a concert and a street party;  tram 2 will start operating 25 minutes after midnight and tram 1 at 12:30 a.m.

The organiser of the Flower Carnival, Főnix Rendezvényszervező has ordered special tram services for the 18th, 19th and 20th, which will be free of charge.

On the 18th, there will be tram number 1 at 12:15 a.m., and on the 19th, there will be tram number 1 at 1:25 a.m., 2:10 a.m. and 2:55 a.m. to get people home.On the 20th, tram 1 will depart at 1:25 a.m., 2:10 a.m. and 2:55 a.m.

Bus services will be restricted only during the Carnival procession.
