The asphalting of a large area of Kartács Street has now been completed

The details were presented at a press conference on the spot by Tamás Majer, the municipal representative of the area, on the 4th of October, 2023.

“The large-scale asphalting works on Kartács Street between Verseny Street and Patay István Street began less than three weeks ago and has now been completed”. Tamás Majer, municipal representative said.

The pavement has been completely renewed to make vehicle traffic more comfortable and safer than before. Paving and widening of the pavement has also been carried out, and rainwater drainage has been improved. 

Tamás Majer also mentioned that last year, about 90 metres of Kartács Street between Lóverseny Street and Hajdú Street were paved, but about 400 metres of the back section of the street have not yet been paved. For the design of the latter section, the city government has launched a public tender under the Debrecen 2030 programme, and the selection of the designer and the conclusion of the contract for this work is expected to take place in October.

He also mentioned that in 2023, road reconstruction works were carried out on Móricz Zsigmond Road, Pallagi Road and several sections of Nagyerdei Körút in his district, so from this point of view, this year can be considered a very successful year in this district.
