The exhibition of painter Zoltán Gonda, entitled “80 is not a problem!” (Nem Gond(a) 80!), will open on the 1st of March at 6.00 p.m. at Bényi Gallery. The artist, who has been recently awarded the Debrecen Prize for Culture, started out as a painter and has exhibited his works in solo and group exhibitions from 1965, and then for almost two decades mainly produced graphic works alongside painting. His works of art can be found in museums, galleries and private collections in Hungary and abroad, and he has exhibited in Poland, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Germany, Romania, China, Canada, the USA, Slovakia and Macedonia.
After seven years of silence, he took up the brush again, and at the same time sought a specific renewal in graphic expression.
Zoltán Gonda celebrated his 80th birthday last year, and a selection of his works can be seen at the Bényi Gallery until the 14 of March.
