The Art Week festival is organised with the intention of creating tradition between the 9th and the 12th of May.
The four-day event will bring visitors closer to contemporary artists from or related to Debrecen. The exhibition and alternative spaces of the city centre will offer guided tours, workshops, and studio visits, which will be spiced up with musical, literary and gastronomic experiences.
“Educational and cultural institutions, galleries, artists and private individuals have joined forces to organise the festival.It is very important that it is not organised centrally by one institution, but it will be the result of joint thinking and joint work, in which the city government participates as a mediator,” Deputy Mayor István Puskás said.
