Until the 9th of October, visitors can see the exhibition “The Open Air Studio,” which is themed on May Day.
The exhibition presents two or three paintings by 18 artists from the two cities, created in Oradea in May.
At the exhibition’s opening on Tuesday, István Puskás, Deputy Mayor of Debrecen, said that the centuries-old and still-living link between Debrecen and its twin city Oradea means that new chapters in the two cities’ histories are opened from time to time.
One of the most recent is a joint art camp that started three years ago, the latest fruits of which are presented in the exhibition. The last time the joint works were produced was in Oradea, at Festum Varadinum, and they are now on show here.
The artistic community of the two cities spent a lovely day together in Várad on the Körös-bank, and the audience can now see the memories and impressions of this beautiful day in Debrecen, István Puskás said.
