The construction of a public utility transmission line on István and Vértesi roads in Debrecen started on the 14th of October 2024 as part of infrastructure improvements.
The work started with drilling under main road No. 4, affecting the section of István Road between the Vincellér Street roundabout and István Road No. 136 (AKSD residential waste yard). Temporary lane closures and lane closures are expected in the affected area until the 15th of December, 2024.
To ensure safe traffic management, temporary traffic order signs have been installed, and the traffic light programmes at the junction of István út and Vincellér utca have been modified.
Depending on weather conditions, the contractor will start the works on several sections simultaneously from the beginning of November 2024 as follows:
- between Déli sor and the railway crossing on Vértesi Road,
- the section between István Road No. 136 and Déli sor, and
- Vértesi Road.
During the works, lane closures and speed restrictions will be in force on the affected sections of the road.
Drivers are requested to drive with increased caution in these areas and to avoid these sections of road if possible.
