A total of more than 120 trainers, physical education teachers and outstanding athletes were awarded at the ceremony held at the County Hall in Debrecen on 12th of December, 2024.
It is a tradition that the Hajdú-Bihar County Student Sports and Leisure Association organises its award ceremony every year. This year’s event again filled the banquet hall of the Castle County Hall. This time, 87 young champions received the award for outstanding sporting achievements, as well as 29 coaches, 8 physical education teachers and 7 public education institutions.
“The Student Olympics is one of the most important competitions for young athletes. We recognise those young people who, during their school years, take on the burden of doing sports and attending competitions in addition to their studie,” Deputy Mayor Diána Széles pointed out.
