The faction joined the Debrecen Charitable Board’s fundraising campaign this year as well.
“The Fidesz-KDNP faction of the Debrecen general assembly joined the Advent fundraising campaign organised by the Debrecen Charitable Board this year as well,” the faction reported in a statement. Following the general assembly meeting on Thursday, the representatives jointly handed over the packages containing non-perishable food.
Deputy faction leader Edina Szilágyi highlighted in connection with the handing over of the packages that the Fidesz-KDNP faction, as a cohesive community, considers it important to help and support the needy people of Debrecen, especially during the Advent period, as Christmas approaches.
“Since the Debrecen Charitable Board has launched this charity campaign, the Fidesz-KDNP faction has provided the board with non-perishable food packages every year,” Edina Szilágyi pointed out.
President of the Debrecen Charitable Board, Edit Bódor said that she was grateful for the faction’s donation of 500,000 forints. She added that the packages contained non-perishable food, which can provide significant help to 25 families during the holidays.
