The restoration of the broken pipe on Lahner Street continued today (February 5, 2025).
Debreceni Vízmű Zrt replaced the damaged section of the pipe. The restoration of the road structure has also begun, but due to the size of the cavity under the asphalt, traffic cannot be allowed, not even on one lane.
The restoration of the road will continue with the removal of the damaged asphalt layer and the restoration of the road base, and then – temporarily – with the creation of a crushed stone and milled asphalt surface that can be used for traffic.
On February 6, 2025 – Thursday – around noon, the contractor is expected to reopen the affected section of Lahner Street to traffic. The final restoration of the road surface with hot asphalt will take place in March.
When driving in this area, drivers are asked to use the temporarily restored road surface cautiously and at a reduced speed.
