The Hungarian Film Harvest is held for the ninth time at the Apolló Cinema. The Hungarian Film Harvest began Monday by screening films István Nemere’s “I Write as Long as I Live “ and Bálint Szimler’s “Black Point”. Viewers also had the opportunity to meet Anna Mészöly, the main character of “Black Point”.

The film festival was opened by Deputy Mayor for Culture, István Puskás and the Managing Director of Főnix Event Management Ltd., operating the Apollo Cinema, Zita Dobos.

This year, the Hungarian Film Festival in Debrecen will last for two weeks: between the 10th and the 23rd of February, more than 40 Hungarian films and 16 audience meetings will be held.

A special highlight is the screening of a trilogy of films by Szabolcs Hajdu, one of the festival’s patrons, after which the director invites the audience to a discussion.

The talks will be moderated by essayist and folk aesthete Zsolt Heller, radio presenter Ferenc Váradi; film aesthete Anna Váró Kata; and writer, journalist, staff member of Médiacentrum Debrecen Miklós Szénási.
