This year the jury of the Hungarian Marketing Association “Website of the Year” awarded the “Capital of Internet Culture” prize to the City of Debrecen again.
Each year, the award is given to the city with the highest number of winning websites in the competition – outside the capital.
The award ceremony took place at the end of the Digital Marketing Forum’s full-day conference on the 5th of March 2024 at the Etele Cinema, Budapest. A record 329 entries were received for the 23rd edition of the Website of the Year competition, of which the jury of experts awarded 90 entries in 30 categories.
The prestigious competition is organised by the Hungarian Marketing Association and the Internet Marketing Section every year, and this year the “Sound of Mátra” project was awarded the “Website of the Year Absolute Award”.
The outstanding success of Debrecen is based on the constantly renewing and innovative activities of local website designers and marketing companies.
Among the companies that won the most awards in this year’s competition was Kreatív Linalak Ltd., with six websites winning this year, one of them (KITE PLC ‘s Precision Management System) was entered by the client itself. The company has now won 81 awards since 2007.
The “Website of the Year” competition, making them the most successful designer in the history of the competition.

The highlight of the event was the award gala, where it was officially announced that Debrecen will once again be the “Capital of Internet Culture” in 2024.
The “Digital Marketing Forum” conference awaited professionals interested in digital trends with a packed program, renowned speakers, and numerous workshop opportunities.
