In the spirit of joint social responsibility, the generous donation of SeaMaster Products Ltd. can make the Easter holiday of thousands of needy families in Debrecen happier.

SeaMaster Products Ltd. donated approximately 30,000 pieces of quick-frozen pizza products worth nearly HUF 18 million.

The member organisations of the Debrecen Charity Board are involved in delivering donations to families in need. The handover event on April 8, 2025, was attended by Deputy Mayor and Co-Chair of the Debrecen Charity Board Diána Széles, President of the Debrecen Charity Board Edit Bódor, and Managing Director of SeaMaster Products Ltd. Gergő Sedlák.

At the event, Diána Széles thanked the members of the Debrecen Charity Board for their help in delivering the donation. She said, “The Debrecen Charity Board has been operating for almost ten years, and their experience is that more and more donors feel that they must help those in need as part of their social responsibility. The board and the city government would like to strengthen the feeling among the citizens of Debrecen continuously. Like the city, companies operating here care for people who need help. This work is effective; donors trust the Debrecen Charity Board to deliver the donations to the right places. Many companies approach the board with ideas for charity events, and the board helps them find the target group they can help the most. Donations and their delivery also help to develop a relationship of trust between donors, those who help with the mediation, and the recipients, ensuring long-term cooperation. The Deputy Mayor emphasised, “It is a special pleasure that we can now talk about a donation of a Hungarian company from Debrecen, which is present not only in domestic but also foreign supermarket chains with its products called Pizza D’Oro.”

Managing Director of SeaMaster Products Ltd., Gergő Sedlák, said that since they encounter many people in need every day in their environment, the idea was born that if their means allow, they would support these people. This had already motivated a previous donation. The Debrecen-based company has been producing quick-frozen pizza products since 2016, which they sell nationally and internationally. They offered a larger quantity of this product range in 2021, and now, with Easter approaching, help is also welcome during this period. Gergő Sedlák said that in the future, they would like to help in this way every year, always at a different time of the year.

The president of the Debrecen Charity Board, Edit Bódor, said that the donated pizzas would be delivered to 5,000 families in need within the scope of the member organisations, children living in residential homes, old people’s homes and temporary family homes. Since the donation is vast, delivery from the company’s premises began last week. It will continue this week and next, meaning the delicacies will reach everyone who needs a gift until Easter. Edit Bódor highlighted the significance of this donation being connected to Easter. Usually, the willingness to donate is greater at Christmas, but any support can bring great joy to people in need anytime. The Debrecen Charity Board welcomes donations throughout the year, which are delivered to those in need.
