The government office lifted the ban because the number of people in the county with flu-like symptoms and acute respiratory illnesses is steadily decreasing.
On 31 January, the Hajdú-Bihar County Government Office introduced a complete ban on visits to all patient care units of the Nagyerdei, Kenézy Gyula and Gróf Tisza István Campuses of University of Debrecen Clinical Centre as an epidemiological preventive measure due to the accumulation of upper respiratory diseases.
However, according to respiratory monitoring data, fewer and fewer people in Hajdú-Bihar County are now consulting a doctor with flu-like symptoms and acute respiratory illnesses, which is why the government office decided to lift the ban on visits.
The full visitation ban was lifted on Wednesday 9 April in all patient care units of the Clinical Centre.
However, the use of masks covering the nose and mouth remains compulsory on all three campuses of the Clinical Centre. The Clinical Centre management asks for the patience and understanding of patients and relatives.
