The sustainable facility was developed with the investment of the joint industrial property development company SZINORG and XANGA Group, according to the needs of Sensirion Hungary Ltd.., a manufacturer of high-tech digital microsensors and systems.
Swiss-based Sensirion has been continuously developing its Debrecen subsidiary for years. The second production hall here is a new milestone: the high-tech company can double its local production capacity with a modern and sustainable facility of 6,600 square metres.
“Like the Stafa production plant, this site is designed to be completely fossil fuel-free. With 80 soil probes and nearly one megawatt of heating and cooling capacity, as well as a heat pump and solar power plant, we cover the energy needs of our production processes,” Maintenance and Infrastructure Director of Sensirion Hungary Ltd. mre Török said.
The joint development company of SZINORG and XANGA Group has built the production hall with its own investment of HUF 4.5 billion, tailored to the needs of Sensirion, a manufacturer of digital microsensors and systems.
“Sensirion represents the industry we always talk about: the arrival of innovative manufacturing companies with state-of-the-art technology and high added value. Sensirion today already, but in the future it will be integrated into our daily lives, a technology of the future,” CEO of XANGA Investment & Development GroupIstván Herdon stressed.
As stated at the handover, Sensirion’s latest development is of significance beyond itself: it also confirms the economic and knowledge-based urban development of Debrecen.
“We envision the city of the future here in Debrecen as the city that will define quality development. Sensirion will bring this quality: precision, innovation, engineering culture and reliability”, Mayor László Papp said.
Sensirion will install production lines worth a total of HUF 4 billion in the new facility. It is planned to double the current staff of 100 in the future.
