A state-of-the-art training laboratory for hybrid and electric vehicle servicing, preparing for the latest industrial environment, has been inaugurated at Diószegi Sámuel Technical School. The workshop is currently used to train 48 automotive technician students in adult education. It is hoped that competitive skills will help them to find jobs in the automotive industry in the city.

The lab will initially be used to introduce 48 adult automotive technicians to the latest instruments. The workshop has been designed with the help of a capital-based automotive company and has been adapted to a high-tech industrial environment.

Students will learn the skills they will need to work with the instruments they will use once they enter the labour market.

“We installed and installed HV de-voltage simulators and HV battery simulators. We believe that these devices are up to the highest level of current industry standards,” Development Engineer at Maróti Ltd.,  Miklós Diósy said.

The creation of the training laboratory was justified by the automotive companies settling in Debrecen, as the students of the vocational school could later find jobs in these companies. The current development guarantees that students will receive practice-oriented training and acquire competitive skills.

“This workshop area has been equipped with special enclosures and special tools for servicing electric cars or hybrid cars under voltage,”Director General of Education of the Baptist Charity Service. Csaba Szabó said.

The new laboratory was built with HUF 20 million, the investment was financed by the Baptist Charity Service  from its own resources.
