During the four-day event, interested parties will once again be able to get closer to contemporary art with a connection to the city.

The Art Week program series will be held again between May 15 and 18. The exhibition and alternative spaces of the city centre will be prepared with guided tours, workshops, and studio tours, which will be enriched by musical and literary experiences as well as flash mobs.

The programme will be implemented at 14 locations with the cooperation of 16 Debrecen exhibition venues, associations, art schools, and private individuals. The second Art Week will be implemented at the initiative and with the support of the Debrecen local government.

“Fine arts are a very important player in the city’s cultural life, and they deserve to have a strong focus, since there is a large audience, many creators, and many art lovers, art enthusiasts, and art supporters living in the city,”Deputy Mayor István Puskás emphasised.
