The area was provided by the municipality, the investment cost almost HUF 10 million, financed by the Diocese of Debrecen-Nyíregyháza.
The opening ceremony of the new playground was opened with a performance by the Butterfly Group of the Incarnation Member Kindergarten (Megtestesülés Tagóvoda). The municipality ceded a forest strip to the diocese, where a community playground was created.
Mayor László Papp said that he is very happy that the city, especially in close cooperation with the churches, has done a lot in recent years to improve the city’s institutional network, adding that the kindergarten currently accommodates 75 children. With the construction of the nursery, the parish courtyard has been eliminated and a community playground has been created, which can be used by the nursery children and the residents of the neighbourhood.
“Coordinated work can always be fruitful and is never selfish. We do not build and develop because we want to reap some glory, but for the sake of others, for the sake of these children, who are of infinite value,” the Bishop of the Debrecen-Nyíregyháza Diocese Ferenc Palánki emphasised.
