A new scheduled flight from Debrecen to Antalya, Turkey is launched

The first aircraft of the Debrecen-Antalya flight took off on Saturday, 10th of June.

From now on, Wizz Air will operate flights from Debrecen to Antalya on Tuesdays and Saturdays until some point in September. 

Antalya is a resort city with an Old Harbor with wonderful beaches flanked by large hotels. It’s a gateway to Turkey’s southern Mediterranean region, known as the Turquoise Coast, famous for its blue waters. 

The first flight was almost full. The opening of the new destination from Debrecen is encouraging.

“It is very important for us to develop the range of flights from Debrecen according to the needs of passengers, especially in the summer season when tourism is a priority. Thanks to this, we have developed this flight with Wizz Air,” Tamás Király, Managing Director of Debrecen International Airport Kft., said.

This year, Debrecen International Airport offers holidaymakers a choice of six different coastal destinations. 

In the coming months, flights from Debrecen will also be available to Turkish, Greek, Bulgarian, Cypriot and Israeli resorts.
