With a budget of HUF 500 million, the city government has launched the Debrecen panel housing programme, which we wrote about earlier here.
Applications are invited for replacing windows and doors, insulating facades and ceilings, and replacing lifts to save energy. If combined with heating modernisation, energy savings of up to 55% can be achieved. The grant is 25 per cent of the eligible cost, up to a maximum of HUF 750,000 per dwelling.
Applications may be submitted by housing associations operating as condominiums in residential buildings built using industrial technology and by housing cooperatives based in Debrecen.
The municipality has created a website where interested parties can upload their applications. The call for applications, a guide and technical assistance, will be available there, and the staff of the office will also be at the applicants’ disposal. They will also be available by phone or e-mail.
Applications can be submitted until the 31st of December, 2023 and will be evaluated on a continuous basis.
