Cactus Fair & Botanica Show: The flower and garden exhibition and fair will be held at the Kölcsey Centre between the 18th and the 20th of August.
Visitors can attend lectures on topics such as gardening, flower and garden care, environmental protection and sustainability practices.
There will also be a cactus fair and a plant exchange point.

The Botanica Cup is a competition for florists from different countries to showcase their creativity and craftsmanship to the public.
The contest’s first round will take place at the Flower Market on the 18th of August (5 p.m. – 7 p.m.), followed by the second round on the 19th of August from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. at the Kölcsey Center.
Flower installations and sculptures around the city
During the Debrecen Flower Carnival, there will be a number of flower installations and sculptures around the city. Festival goers can take a photo with a huge butterfly wing, courtesy of DIEHL Aviation.
The Memorial Garden behind the Reformed Great Church is decorated with handmade, unique flowers. In parallel, the Botanical Garden comes to life in front of the University of Debrecen’s Main Building, and public sculptures are dressed in flowers.
Thanks to the support of Krones and Alföldi Nyomda, tram stops with flowers welcome passengers at Kálvin Square, while the city is enriched with 30 flower towers and ten flower information boards this year.
