Zoltán Kempf now represents the Debrecen club. The competitor still has a chance to make it to the Paris Olympics. He is currently preparing for two qualifying tournaments, for which he can already prepare in Debex extreme sports park.

Zozo Kempf will perform tricks more often in the Debex extreme sports park. The world champion BMX rider has trained several times on the track in Debrecen, but from now on it can be his number one training ground, as he has officially become a DSI Debrecen competitor.

“Debrecen has the largest track complex in the country. I think it is one of the best places to prepare for international competitions. I think we have a common goal, we want to get as much out of this sport as possible,” he said.

“DSI’s extreme sports division was founded in the autumn, and the signing of the best national BMX rider is considered a sensational certification. Moreover, Zoltán Kempf will be able to represent the city and Hungary at the Paris Olympics, as he still has a chance to qualify for the quota, “ Managing Director of the Debrecen Sport Center talked about.

“I am very happy that there are already two sports in this park, BMX and skateboarding, which were only demonstration sports a few years ago, but will be among the Olympic programs in Paris, “ Managing Director of Debrecen Sport Centre Ltd András Becsky emphasised.

“Debrecen could not be a sports stronghold without attractive facilities for mass and competitive sports. The signing of Zozo Kempf can also be a serious motivation for young people. There is also a possibility from the point of view of mass sports, that young people can see a world star here at Debex in Debrecen, ” Deputy Mayor Diána Széles pointed out.

The new competitor of DSI can earn a quota for the Paris Olympics in two more qualifying competitions. According to the plans, he can prepare for these for the most part on the track in Debrecen.
