In order to increase capacity, the existing left-right-right lane at the intersection of Bajcsy-Zsilinszky and Tisza István streets will be supplemented with a separate left-turn lane, with pavement markings and new traffic lights.
The intervention will significantly increase the possibility of turning left towards Tisza István Street, thus making it faster to exit the top of the block.
Preparations for the works is being made by closing the car parks late in the afternoon of 6 June 2023. This is followed by the installation of the necessary new pavement signs and the painting of the pavement markings, which is expected to take place on Wednesday, 7th of June 2023. If weather conditions do not permit, the pavement markings will be painted in the following days.
Drivers are asked to drive carefully due to the construction of the left turn lane.
