Experts discussed the current issues of biological plant protection at the second professional day of Debrecen Zoo.

The focus of the national meeting was on biological and ecological plant protection solutions that can be applied in the gardening work.

The event brought together participants from several national botanical gardens, zoos and vocational training institutions.

The Cultural Park has signed a cooperation agreement with the Faculty of Agriculture, Food Science and Environmental Management of the University of Debrecen, which strengthens the cooperation between the two institutions, focusing on research and development.

“The aim is, on the one hand, to further expand and provide internships for students, so that students from the Institute of Plant Protection are now also welcome to participate in internships in connection with scientific research projects. In addition, the cooperation can open up further horizons, as animal health issues will be the topical issues in the next cooperation phase,” Managing Director of Debrecen Zoo Sándor Gergely Nagy emphasised.
