This year again the DVSC Schaeffler team joined the Debrecen Charitable Board’s school supplies collection campaign. Supporters, players, employees and sponsors contributed to the donations, which will be delivered to families in need by the member organisations of the Debrecen NGO.
Schoolbags, watercolour and, in style, DVSC T-shirts were among the donations of the handball team. Employees of the club’s eponym sponsor, Schaeffler Debrecen Ltd., also donated lunch boxes.
“Players, office workers, staff, Schaeffler provided parcels and last week at the international handball tournaments, fans could also contribute and donated everything from school supplies to pencil cases and backpacks, not specifically school supplies, lunch boxes for example, and we also contributed T-shirts, clothes and shorts for children to use in school or gymnastics lessons,” the Head of the DVSC Handball Ltd. Zsolt Ábrók said.
The DVSC team has been donating regularly to those in need for years. Diána Széles said “the circle of helpers in the city is getting wider and wider every year, and the sports club is an important and permanent member of this circle,”. The Deputy Mayor pointed out the opportunity to donate in the city, and whoever can, should donate.
The school supplies and donations will reach the families in need with the help of the member organisations of the Debrecen Charity Board, and it is planned to do so before the start of school.
