Debrecen has won HUF 2 billion in funding for the projects identified in the D2030 programme – the development of health, social and children’s institutions – for which it submitted an application under the Operational Programme for Spatial and Urban Development Plus.

The general assembly of the Municipality of Debrecen decided in the fall of 2023 and in the spring of 2024 to submit the support applications, with which the city has now received a total of HUF 2 billion in funding for the implementation of 6 projects under the call for proposals TOP_Plusz-3.4.1-23 “Sustainable human infrastructure” issued under the Regional and Settlement Development Operative Programme Plus (TOP Plusz).

The planned investments will serve the development of local health and social services and the human infrastructure supporting child-rearing. The grants are non-refundable; their maximum amount is 100% of the total eligible costs.

The supported investments are as follows:

  • Complex renovation of the medical practice  at 34 Pandúr Street (HUF 70 million),
  • Complex renovation of the medical practice at 54 Monostorpályi Street (HUF 90 million),
  • Development of the medical office at 46 Kincseshegy Street – complete energy modernisation (HUF 120 million),
  • Infrastructural development of the premises of the Municipal Social Service of the Municipality of Debrecen at 41 Pósa Street (HUF 230 million),
  • Development of the nursery and the Levendula Kindergarten at 23 Varga Street – complete energy modernisation (HUF 950 million),
  • Development of the Angyalkert Kindergarten at 9 Ótemető Street – complete energy modernisation (HUF 550 million).

The physical completion of the projects is limited to a maximum of 36 months from the start of the projects.
