The Tax Department of the Mayor’s Office of the Municipality of Debrecen has started the delivery of balance notifications to help meet local tax obligations for the first half of 2024.

Individuals who have not opted for electronic communication until the date of the balance notification will be notified by post.

Individuals registered for electronic communication and self-employed persons will receive the letter on Ügyfélkpau (Client Gateway), while companies will receive the letter on Cégkapu (Company Gateway).

Payments for the first half of the year can be made without penalty until the 18th of March, 2024.

A cheque will be enclosed only with the notices delivered by post to fulfil the obligation. Please note that everyone has the possibility to settle the tax liability by means of a transaction that can be considered as a credit card purchase through the e-Government portal, using the EFER system.
