Drinking water main rehabilitation works at the intersection of Szabó Kálmán Street and Híd Street

Debreceni Vízmű Zrt. is carrying out planned renovation works at the junction of the drinking water mains at the intersection of Szabó Kálmán Street and Híd Street.

Local water company, Debreceni Vízmű Zrt., is carrying out planned drinking water main junction renovation works from 7th of August 2023.

After the opening of the working trenches, it was discovered that the old, corroded steel water main and its fittings need to be replaced, so the extent of the intervention exceeds the planned extent, and the opening of both traffic lanes is necessary.

Because of this, the traffic junction has been closed from 8 a.m. on the 15th of August 2023. The connecting streets will be dead-ends, with no access from Mikepércsi Road to Szabó Kálmán Street. The works are expected to be completed by 15th of September 2023.

Debreceni Vízmű Zrt. apologises and asks for the public’s understanding of any temporary water shortages and the necessary traffic restrictions caused by the works.
