“Evoking the Past” Hologram Exhibition in Agora

The 125th anniversary of the birth of the inventor of holography, Nobel Prize-winning physicist-engineer Dénes Gábor, will be celebrated in 2025. To mark the occasion, the Novofer Foundation and the Agora Science Experience Centre have created a joint exhibition that takes us back in time, showcasing holograms that are 20-30 years old in terms of technology, but still timeless today.

Collected from around the world, the holographic works come from the estate of Dénes Gábor’s former colleague, Professor Pál Greguss. Visitors to the exhibition will be able to get up close and personal with an important piece of Hungarian and universal technological history.

The exhibition is a unique experience in the spirit of scientific education, as you can explore the holograms with a torch in your hand, illuminated from different angles and experimenting.

The exhibition will be on display in the Agora’s Interactive Space until the 15th of December 2024. The exhibition will travel on to other cities in Hungary in 2025, in partnership with the Agora Science Centre.

Date: until 15 December
Location:Agora Science Centre.
