Folk art moves into the puppet theatre in Debrecen

The opening of the exhibition of Enikő Gyöngy, enamel and jewellery artist, folk craftswoman and her family will be held on Friday, the 29th of  November, from 4:00 p.m. at Vojtina Puppet Theatre.The exhibition will be opened by Péter Gyöngy, head of the Makoldi Sándor Centre of the National Institute of Culture, with the participation of Ildikó Bárdosi, folk singer, folk singing teacher, Young Master of Folk Art, Erika Juhász, folk singer, folk singing teacher, Young Master of Folk Art, and Kinga Újhelyi, Jászai Mari Prize-winning actor. 

Visitors can also take part in a number of accompanying programmes.

Sunday 8 December 2024, 10.00 a.m.

“Moon weaves, sun weaves” – Visitors can immerse themselves in the beauty of weaving designs, woven materials and make something small with reed weaving.

Sunday, 15 December 2024 10.00 a.m.

“Silk thread, wool thread…” – Participants can see designs and objects in the creation process and can get a small gift..

Sunday, 5 January 2025 10.00 a.m.

“Born of fire”  – Attendees  can delve into the greatest miracle, the secrets of enameling: designs for compartment enamel, stages in the making process.

Saturday 28 December 2024, 11.00 a.m. – Creative processes – Terka Láposi’s guest is Enikő Gyöngy.

Thursday 09 January 2025, 5.00 p.m. – Gyöngy Dániel: Free dance in the exhibition space

Friday 24 January 2025, 4.00 p.m. – New year, new beginning –  Guests of Terka Láposi and Judit Vajland are Enikő Gyöngy and Péter Gyöngy.
