The University of Debrecen’s Faculty of Music and the Conservatory Foundation organise the International Summer Academy for Young Musicians for the 23rd time for students of secondary schools, music students and young music teachers. In addition to individual masterclasses, professional development is ensured through chamber music and orchestral work. The Academy is located in the prime tourist area of Debrecen, in the neighbourhood of the Great Forest, in the University City.
The International Summer Academy of Young Musicians in Debrecen will present a varied repertoire of free concerts:
10 July 7.00 p.m. Singing, violin and bass violin gala
11 July 7.00 p.m. Brass and piano gala
12 July 7.00 p.m. Flute and violin gala
13 July 7.00 p.m. Strings and piano gala
14 July 7.00 p.m. Trumpet and percussion gala
15 July 7.00 p.m. Woodwind instruments gala
As part of the Summer Academy, in addition to the usual master classes, the orchestra camp of the Kodály Zoltán World Youth Orchestra will be organised under the direction of Tamás Vásáry, pianist and conductor, followed by public concerts.
17 July 7.00 p.m. Kodály Zoltán Youth World Orchestra concert at the reformed Great Church of Debrecen, Ticket price: HUF 1500. Tickets are available at the ticket office of the Reformed Church of Debrecen and at Karakter 1517 Bookstore and Café.
