A special, uplifting evening awaits the audience during this year’s Advent season, focusing on Jesus, the light of the world and the hope that comes from Him.

Participants
The event will feature performances by the Martin Brass Brass Ensemble, among others, as well as a specially assembled 80-member choir, who will create an opportunity for celebration with worshipful music. The Word will be preached by Pastor Kristóf Palotás.
Program
Among the works to be performed at the concert will be classical a cappella choral pieces by Viktor Osváth, Sándor Berkesi and Tom Fettke. Songs of praise, including songs by Béla Pintér, Phil Wickman, Chris Tomlin, Michael Neale, and others, as well as works for wind bands. At the end of the concert, the orchestra and choir will lift up God’s name with a special blend of contemporary Christian music and classical orchestral sound, creating an atmosphere worthy of the Advent season.
When booking online, it is possible to buy support tickets, the proceeds of which will be used to buy Christmas food parcels. The gifts will be delivered by the ADRA Adventist Development and Relief Foundation and the Hungarian Maltese Relief Service. The evening will thus not only offer a musical experience, but also an opportunity for the audience to do something together for Debrecen by helping.

The Brass Ensemble has been operating in Debrecen for several years, in its present formation since 2014. The orchestra’s founder and founder is Márton Fejes, trombonist and master conductor of the Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra in Debrecen. Behind the instruments, the ensemble includes young music students, experienced wind players playing music as a hobby and professional musicians. In this way, the orchestra unites a community of musicians across generations and skill levels. The team is especially proud to have several professional musicians from the Kodály Philharmonic Orchestra of Debrecen among its ranks. The artistic director of the ensemble is trumpeter Zsolt Györgyfi and conductor Tamás Andrási. The orchestra’s repertoire is varied and constantly expanding. The orchestra’s repertoire ranges from baroque music, classics and sacred works to film music and modern pieces that can be heard at the concert.
