The Art Week Series of Events is Held Again in Debrecen

Between 15 and 18 May, the exhibition and alternative spaces of the city centre will offer guided tours, workshops and studio visits, and a flash mob will be added to the programme, alongside musical and literary experiences. All this will take place at the same time as and in line with the 34th Debrecen Spring Fair. The programme will be organised in 14 locations, in cooperation with 16 exhibition venues, associations, art schools and individuals in Debrecen. “Fine art is a very important part of the city's cultural life, and it deserves to have a strong focus, as there is a large audience, many artists and many art lovers and art supporters in the city,”  as Deputy Mayor of Debrecen István Puskás, summarised. 30th Great Debrecen Record Fair

In keeping with good tradition, there will be music from all genres and styles. Collectors will be able to buy vinyl records, CDs and audio cassettes. Pop, rock, jazz, disco, classical music and a whole range of music styles will be available. On 17 May, the Dósa nádor Square will once again be buzzing with professionals, as the Debrecen Professions Festival is coming again this year. We are waiting for you if you are a secondary school student and want to explore the local labour market or university opportunities, And come and visit us even if you are an adult looking to learn a trade or browse the open positions of exhibiting companies! In 2025, organisers are partnering with the “Move, Debrecen!” initiative, who will bring the joy of movement to the event, and DAEFI (Debrecen Institute of Primary Care and Health Promotion) will be offering screening tests. Debrecen’s First Elegant Motorcycle Parade

Debrecen will host its first Debrecen Gentleman's Ride on 18 May. The stylish, elegant motorcycle parade aims to raise awareness of the importance of men's health. Inspired by the world-renowned Distinguished Gentleman's Ride event, the event is not only a motorcycle event, but also a social cause: participants will ride their bikes in elegant, classic attire to promote awareness of men's mental and physical health. Men's health issues, particularly prostate cancer and mental health challenges, are often taboo subjects. The Gentleman's Ride aims to raise awareness of these issues in a stylish and positive way, while creating a community experience for participants and spectators. On Sunday morning at 10.00 a.m., all participants are expected to arrive in front of the Debrecen Motodrom (50 Szoboszlói Road).The organisers also ask that participants wear elegant, classic attire. “The world is whole with you” Sports Day

Debrecen Sports Centre will organise the “The world is whole with you” sports day for kindergarten and school children on 24 May, where children can choose the sport they like best with the help of coaches and former competitors. Children can freely explore the world of movement and learn about nearly 30 different sports in a playful and friendly environment. This day is not about results. It's not about the performance, it's about the experience,  discovery and the joy of moving together. Based on previous years' experience, about 2000 visitors are expected on 24 May 2025 in the Oláh Gábor Street sports complex. “Only” Design Fair in May

Concert Showcasing Ennio Morricone’s Timeless Works
