Wild Horses Weekend in Hortobágy Wildlife Park

During the first weekend in July,  a short guided tour will be organised to get to know these fascinating ungulates, to learn about the history, lifestyle, behaviour of these fascinating animals and other wildlife in the park.  The dates of the guided tours:6-7 July: 11.00 a.m.  and 1.00 p.m. An optional programme of the wildlife park is also the extra safari by jeep, during which you can visit the pasture of the harem of wild horses and  reconstructed ancient bulllocks. The safari programme is weather and ground condition dependent. Well-Known Painter’s Series of Summer Events at a Special Scene

Close to the city centre, in a small street, there is a beautiful garden. You might not realise how beautiful it is when you pass its fence, but when you enter the gate, you feel like you're in a Mediterranean world. The venue for special concerts will be the beautiful Debrecen garden, where there are also hundred-year-old trees. The garden is part of the world of an artist, Ferenc Uzonyi from Debrecen. A painter who is passionate about nature, and who says it is a great experience to see the beauty bursting out of the buds in spring, and then the world shows a different, but always magical face every season.  “I've had events in my garden before, musical events and now I want to make them a regular feature in the summer.My idea is to organise a series called “Bagolyvár” (Owl Castle)Musical Evenings. Sunday Organ Evenings in the Great Church

On the Sunday Organ Evenings at the Great Church organists will play the “Queen of Instruments” on the first Sunday of every month from 6.00 p.m. until November. On  the 7th of July evening, Hedvig Jakab will be the guest organist. Donations from the concert will be used to renovate the church organ. The donations raised will be used to renovate the organ of the Great Church. If you wish, you can also support the renewal of one of the most outstanding organs in the country through the Musica Sacra Church Music Foundation (account number:11738008-20185745). “Great Church in Love” Summer Programmes

Great Reformed Church Piac u. 4-6, Debrecen, Hungary

“The Great Church in Love” programme series awaits visitors between the 9th of July and the 19th of  August. On Tuesdays throughout a joint discovery walk  participants can learn about the past and present of the Great Church and Debrecen, and even receive a surprise gift. During the series (repeated every Tuesday), the programme is available with a museum-educational ticket, no pre-registration required.  On Wednesdays at 7:00 p.m. in July and August, the Great Church at sunset programme awaits the lovers of experiences. Within the programme visitors can enjoy the sunset from a height of 40 metres between the two towers and a visit to the church. The guided tour includes the tour of the church, the permanent and temporary exhibitions and the attic, and a panoramic walkway where visitors over 18 can taste the wine of the Great Church (Mészáros Wine Cellar/Red Kadarka and Rosé,  non-alcoholic alternative grape juice). Italian Night – In Memoriam Bud Spencer

On the 19th of July, Roncsbár will pay tribute to the greatness of movie character Piedone played by famous Bud Spencer. The University of Debrecen's Faculty of Music and the Conservatory Foundation organise the International Summer Academy for Young Musicians for the 23rd time for students of secondary schools, music students and young music teachers. In addition to individual masterclasses, professional development is ensured through chamber music and orchestral work. Little Railway Day celebrations at Zoo Debrecen

Exhibition of Graphic Artist, István Subicz Opens at Új Galéria

This time graphic artist István Subicz will show his wooden works to the Debrecen audience via exhibition titled "The trees (also) tell a story". The artist, who is a rigorous creator and takes art seriously, believes that the nature and destiny of pictures is that they end up on a wall somewhere, and that people and viewers come into contact with them in some way. Photographer András Máthé will open the exhibition with  flute player Hanna Jantyik on Saturday the 13th of July at 5:00 p.m. at Új Galéria. Zoo Camp Now Available for Expat Children in English
