On the 25th of May, with the intention of creating a tradition, they organised a May Fair in the Nyulas district, Tócóskert and Haláp, with children in focus.

Music, delicious food from the stove and good vibes. Everything was in place for a May Fair in the Nyulas district.

Glitter tattoos and a bouncy castle were also popular in the Tócóskert, where a family and children’s day was held. The community space where the programme was held had been transformed in recent years as part of the Green City Programme. According to Mayor László Papp, it is clear how much demand there is and how important community-building developments are.

“We can be proud of everything that has happened in this part of the city, in Tócóskert and Tócóvölgy, because thanks to the Green City Programme and the renewal of community spaces, a new quality of life has been created,” László Papp said.

The mayor added that new institutions have been and are being created, and renovations are ongoing to make the district more liveable.

A children’s day was also held in Haláp on Saturday, where a wide range of activities were also on offer. “This was the eleventh year that the Haláp Children’s Day has been held to bring families together for fun. The community life in the district is very good and this is reflected in all these events,”  Municipal representative, István Kovács said.
