The service sector in Debrecen has continued to expand
The six hundred square meter site currently has a capacity of six hundred cars. The services of the Budapest-based Mercarius Fleottakezelő Kft. include fleet management, maintenance, and operation. These are currently carried out by eighteen employees in Debrecen.
Despite the difficulties of the past period, the company has dedicated itself to opening its first rural branch in Debrecen.
László Rónai-Horst, Managing Director of Mercarius Fleottakezelő Kft., said that COVID-19 and the chip shortage caused a lot of difficulties, but they are happy to open a new facility in the countryside.
At the handover ceremony, the Deputy Mayor of Debrecen Lajos Barcsa stressed that the current investment is not only outstanding in terms of job creation but also enhances healthy competition in the labor market to secure higher wages.
“The more services that appear on the market, the more choice for the people of Debrecen and the better quality services they can consume. We are witnessing a striking example in the field of fleet management. I am confident that this will only strengthen competition among fleet managers in Debrecen,” he said.
