The Debrecen Charity Board, true to its tradition, is helping people in need in Debrecen thanks to the generosity of donors and supporters. As part of this, 1,900 families will receive a donation of non-perishable food items, including flour, rice, sugar, salt, cooking oil, pasta, and canned goods. Globus Konzervipari Zrt. supports the people in Debrecen by donating more than 22,000 canned vegetables worth HUF 8 million in cooperation with the Debrecen Charity Board.

The delivery, which has been continuous in recent days due to the approaching holiday, was officially handed over by the CEO of Globus Konzervipari Zrt. Nándor Szabó to Edit Bódor, President of the Debrecen Charity Board, on the 18th of December, 2024, at the company’s factory in Debrecen.

As Nándor Szabó said, the Globus brand is 100 years old this year. To assist those in need, the company has consistently supported charitable activities, including organizations like the Debrecen Charity Board and the Hungarian Red Cross.

During the Advent season, the company based in Debrecen greatly enhances the Christmas spirit for local families. They believe they are responsible for engaging in the city’s social life and contributing to various causes, including sports. This year, the Debrecen Charity Board received traditional canned goods, such as beans, peas, and corn, as well as nutritious options like protein-rich chickpeas and a ready-to-eat Mexican vegetable mix. This initiative introduces variety to festive meals and promotes a healthier lifestyle, as these canned products are free from preservatives.

Edit Bódor thanked them for the donation, emphasising that the company always gives significant help and does so with great modesty. The significance of charitable assistance extends beyond the tangible value of products, as the Debrecen Charity Board effectively manages the canned goods received. It is accessible year-round, ensuring that help is available whenever needed.
