In order to make pedestrian crossings on the main road safer, the Municipality of Debrecen implements measures to increase traffic safety in consultation with Magyar Közút Nonprofit Zrt.

On the main road No. 48, before the junction with Kondoroskert Street, yellow flashing lights will be installed from both directions, with overhead installation, and fluorescent neon-framed “No overtaking” signs, 60 km/h speed limit and pedestrian danger signs. On the main road, the slowing-down pavement signs with ridge striping will be renewed to increase awareness of the intersection for vehicles.

The contractor will carry out the installation of the yellow flashing beacon support column from 9 a.m. on Monday, 25th September 2023. Weather permitting, the works are expected to last until the end of the week, during which time the pavement signs will be painted, the signs will be installed, and the yellow flashing beacon will be switched on.
