The Kölcsey Centre will host a free job fair on the 4th of April. FuturePicture Expo introduces Debrecen Vocational Training Centre students to local SMEs, showcasing competitive career paths beyond big companies.

EDC Debrecen’s  Senior Expert in Business Development Gergely Fekszi shared details and thoughts on the event:

The programme is jointly organised by the Debrecen Vocational Training Centre, the EDC Debrecen City and Economic Development Centre and the Hajdú-Bihar County Chamber of Commerce and Industry. The professional organisations are working together to help local businesses to secure a supply of labour. The event is open to all SMEs with a registered office or a business establishment in Hajdú-Bihar County and at least 10 employees.

FuturePicture Expo is open to all interested parties and free to visit. In addition to representatives of small and medium-sized enterprises, students of the Debrecen Vocational Training Centre who will soon enter the labour market will also take part in the event in an organised setting, while all those interested in building a career in the local small and medium-sized enterprise sector are welcome.

DSZC students often meet large company recruiters at events, lacking awareness of SME sector opportunities, thus the expo is a great way for small and medium-sized businesses in the local area to recruit staff. They will be able to target around a thousand vocational students looking for a career or even a specific job here, and hopefully many other interested jobseekers.

DSZC has grown its student numbers very dynamically over the past few years and has tried to respond quickly and well to the changing needs of the local economy.

The rise of dual training, working with businesses to provide students with the skills they need to prepare young people for their careers provides the business with a suitable workforce while the apprentice gains real work experience.

In general, it can be said that the economy of Debrecen, the city and the region, the large number of new jobs created by growth, new industries, the availability of colourful career opportunities through electromobility, the availability of quality educational infrastructure and other assets of the city make Debrecen an attractive alternative for young people starting a career or starting a family.

Debrecen’s economic growth, fueled by new investments and job creation, is attracting students to fill emerging positions in industries like electromobility and digital technology.

The event is open to anyone, no registration is required. Applications from eligible exhibiting companies are welcome until the 28th of March at 5:0 p.m., subject to availability.

Exhibiting at the event is free of charge but registration is required. You can register your participation by sending an email to the organisers via this link. For further information about the event, please contact EDC Debrecen by email: business@edc.debrecen.hu or by phone: +36 20 213 9285
