A wreath-laying ceremony in honour of the painter was organised by the Medgyessy Ferenc Art Secondary School and Technical School.

László Holló was commemorated on the occasion of the 137th anniversary of his birth. First, wreaths were laid at the statue of the Kossuth and Munkácsy Prize-winning painter on the promenade named after him, followed by the relief in the garden of the László Holló Memorial House.

At the commemoration ceremony, István Puskás, Deputy Mayor of Debrecen, emphasised that the memorial house is of particular importance in Debrecen in terms of the memory of fine arts.

As part of the programme, a round-table discussion was organised, students from the vocational secondary school discussed Debrecen’s artistic life with the Deputy Mayor.
