The Agóra A.S.C. team won the most popular event of the RoboCup Junior European Championship in Varazdin, Croatia.

After winning all six rounds, the team took first place out of 25 teams in the Rescue Line advanced category. The pre-built robot of the Debrecen team had to perform rescue tasks on obstacle-filled courses simulating a disaster scene in a given time.

The other Agora team, Agora Robotics, came fifth in the Rescue Maze competition and received the special prize for the best robot design.

Agora team members have been attending the Experience Centre’s robotics club for years, many of them have already achieved good results in national and international robot programming competitions, but this is the first time they have won a European title.

In July, the team will represent Debrecen at the RoboCup Junior World Championship in France.

The Municipality of Debrecen and Schaeffler supported the trip to Croatia.
