Those who applied for the Perlator Programme after registering online were welcomed at the New Town Hall on Tuesday. An average family of four can save tens of thousands of forints a year by using the free water saving package. The Perlator Programme is open to anyone with a place of use in Debrecen.
” I heard on the city TV that there was such an opportunity and I thought I would apply to have as little water consumption as possible, because my water bill is really high, and if it’s about saving water, I’m in it too,” Pálné Kedves said..
So is the city. That’s why Debrecen joined the national programme to reduce water consumption.
It’s a device that, when installed on taps, ensures that less water is wasted.
It can help reduce consumption by up to 40 percent. Deputy Mayor Lajos Barcsa also checked on the progress of the handover of the perlators.
“Sustainability has been the flagship of Debrecen for years, and with the percolator sharing programme we can save water, and not least in terms of cost reduction,” Lajos Barcsa said.
The water flow control devices can be collected at New City Hall for another two days.
