More than four hundred young swimmers will jump into the pool

The Debrecen Sports School’s swimming department will organise the Alfréd Hajós Cup for the first time this year on the 1st of February.

Twenty-one swimmers from Hungarian, three  from Romanian and one from Slovakian clubs have registered for the competition, which starts at 10.00 a.m. in the Debrecen Sports Swimming Pool. The largest team, with 84 swimmers, is represented by the organiser, the Debrecen Sports School.

The status of the cup is enhanced by the fact that, in addition to the youth national team swimmers, the BVSC classic, European champion, world championship silver medalist and Olympian. Nikolett Pádár will also be there  among the competitors.

The swimmers born in 2017 and older are expected to compete in 13 events for both girls and boys in exciting races.

On the day of the competition, tickets will also be available for purchase at the Debrecen Sports Swimming Pool’s external box office from 8.00 a.m., but due to the large number of people, it is worth purchasing tickets in advance.
